Wednesday May 15th
10:00 : Departure to OPG Piškera
Mooring ACI Piškera
Transfer to OPG Piškera where Jakov and Ana Šicić run a sheep farm and offer organic olive oil and sage honey. The two islanders also use sage to make liqueurs and teas.
Jakov and Ana will fortify us for lunch with homemade goodies from the island.
If the weather and time allows and the majority of participants feel like it, we will continue to the Sestrice lighthouse on the island of Sestrica Vela, from where we will have a fantastic view all the way to Italy if the weather is good.
Afterwards we go back to Opat Bay where Chef Ante Božikov will treat us to a gala dinner and bring to the plate:
Sea bass carpaccio with truffles
Tartare of scampi and tuna
Pasta with blue crab
Fish in capers and wine
Creamy polenta
Strawberries in Prosecco with curd and maraschino cream
The highlight of the evening will be the virtuoso Croatian cellist Ana Rucner, who has just returned from a long tour of China. Together with her partner Marko Duvnjak, Andreas Gabalier’s drummer, she will send us into ecstasy with pop, rock and classical music.
Of course there has to be time for sailing stories and we look forward that Univ. Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kummer will tell us about his 90-day odyssey, which began in February 2020 when he sailed on his Lagoon 46 from the French Atlantic coast towards Turkey.
